The Medicines for Children Research Network (MCRN) has been created to improve the co-ordination, speed and quality of randomised controlled trials and other well designed studies of medicines for children and adolescents, including those for prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
We can facilitate research by:
- Identifying potential sites and investigators in the region
- Conducting detailed feasibility assessments
- Facilitating meetings between investigators from different sites to allow experience to be shared
- Provide support in obtaining local ethical and research governance approval
- Assist with staff recruitment and training
- Facilitate recruitment and help troubleshoot problems
- Working with children and families to allow them to inform the way research is conducted
