About Us
Introduction
The MCRN works to encourage research into children's medicines, and to support the recruitment to and process of each study or clinical trial that we are involved with. By improving the knowledge base behind paediatric medicine, we are improving the care and treatment available for children in the UK.
To achieve this we collaborate with academics, clinicians, pharmaceutical companies, and perhaps most importantly, with local parents and children.
We are able to assist with the process of getting a study 'adopted' by the MCRN, and once both adoption and study funding are confirmed, the next stage process of ensuring Ethical and Research & Development approval of the study. Once a study has been granted approval, we support the very practical stages of staff training, recruitment of patients, patient treatment, and study record keeping.
If you would like further information on the support we provide for research, please contact us at sw-mcrn@bristol.ac.uk or on +44 (0) 117 3420196.
