Professor Adam Finn, Director Adam Finn is Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Bristol, UK. He is also an Honorary Consultant Paediatrician at The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and leads the paediatric immunology and infectious diseases clinical service for Bristol and the South West region. His main recent research interests relate to elucidation of the nature of naturally acquired mucosal immunity to pneumococcus and meningococcus and development of tools to assess human immune responses to candidate vaccine antigens. He is active in laboratory and clinically based research. He sits on both the MCRN Industry and non Industry Study Adoption Committees and one of the Clinical Studies Groups. |

Dr Andrew Collinson, Co-director Dr Andrew Collinson is a Consultant in Paediatrics and Neonatology at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. His current general paediatric post includes specific responsibilities in neonatal intensive care, immunology, allergy, infection control, vaccination, and neurology. Andrew conducted a detailed prospective cohort study of prenatal nutritional and environmental influences on immunological development in rural Gambian infants for his MD and has since collaborated with a number of other clinical studies in The Gambia and Bangladesh, and is currently local principal investigator for several multi-centre clinical trials. Andrew sits on one of the MCRN Clinical Studies Groups. Andrew leads for the Peninsula part of our network. |

Dr Margaret Fletcher, Co-director Dr Margaret Fletcher is a Reader in Children's Nursing at the University of the West of England. Margaret is our Local Research Network lead for Training and for Involvement with Children and Families. |

Dr Ruth Allen, Manager Dr Ruth Allen's previous research interests have included rheumatology and bone marrow transplantation. More recently Ruth was part of the Bristol paediatric diabetes team, coordinating multi-centre research studies in the South West. Ruth joined MCRN as Research Network Manager for the South West in August 2006. |

Natalie Fineman, Senior Research Nurse Natalie is based in Bristol and leads our research nurse team. Prior to joining MCRN in 2007 Natalie was manager of the Renal Unit at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. |

Sandra Dymond Sandra is based in Bristol and works in hospitals in the North East part of our region. Sandra has a background in renal children's nursing and more recently in children's vaccine trials. |

Clare Harrison Clare is based in Bristol and joined the team May 2008. Prior to this role her nursing background has been in Renal Nursing. |

Vicky Payne Vicky is based in Bristol and works in the North East part of our region. Vicky has a varied nursing background and recently worked on the PITCH trial. Vicky is currently on Maternity Leave. |

Paula Richards Paula is based in Bristol and works throughout the North East part of our region. Paula has a varied nursing background and has recently worked on the PITCH trial. Paula's role involves liaising with children and parents with an interest in research to help us improve the way we work with them. |

Maggie West Maggie is based in Bristol and works in the North East part of our region. Maggie has a background in health visiting and more recently in children's renal nursing. |

Su Wilkins Su is based in Exeter and works in the Peninsula. Su has a varied background in Children's nursing. |

Michelle Cooper Michelle is based in Exeter and currently works as part of the MCRN team and also works on the paediatric ward at the Royal Devon and Exeter as a Paediatric Respiratory Nurse. Michelle has a background in general paediatric nursing including adolescent care. |

Caroline Harrill Caroline has been a Paediatric nurse in Exeter for many years. Her background is in General Paediatrics, Allergy and Tuberculosis. She joined the MCRN team in August 2009. |

Claire Roberts Claire joined the team in May 2009, prior to this she worked with the British Heart Foundation conducting research into Congenital Heart Disease for 3 years, and before that in PICU and general peadiatrics.

Tracey Bingham Tracey is based in Bristol and works in the North Eastern part of our region. Tracey has a background in Paediatric Intensive Care nursing and joined the team in May 2009.

Helen Clark Helen is based in Bristol and joined the MCRN in May 2009. Her background is in children's oncology and haematology nursing.

Teresa Thiam Teresa is our Clinical Trials Administrator based in Bristol. Teresa is PA to the Director and Manager, and provides administrative and study coordination support support to the Bristol based members of the team.

Nicola Bryant Nicola is our Administrator based in Exeter, and provides administrative and study coordination support for the Exeter-based members of the team. |

Kate Upton Kate is based in Bristol and is our clinical and administrative assistant. Her background is in Child Care and Nursery work. |

| Polly Eccleston Polly has a background in Information System Design and Development. Polly develops IT systems to help the the team monitor and audit study data collection and manage the smooth running of study processes. |
